ISquareIT collaborates with Nokia Siemens Networks

Pune, Maharashtra, IND, 2007-10-20 13:09:37 (IndiaPRwire.com) International Institute of Information Technology (I Square IT), Hinjawadi, Pune has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Helsinki, Finland based Nokia-Siemens Networks for collaboration in the field of IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) application software development. ISquareIT is only the Institute in India, which is having such collaboration with Nokia Siemens Networks.The IMS, which is a gradually evolving access-agnostic Technology, is to be used in the upcoming Third Generation (3G) and Fourth Generation (4G) networks and fixed-mobile convergence. This technology will enable multimedia applications such as video on demands, lecture on demand, multi-party gaming, interactive TV applications and others with very good Quality of Service.Nokia Siemens Networks will be providing necessary software’s (Network Emulators and SDK’s) for the IMS application developments whereas at the IsquareIT will be contributing by developing IMS applications. As a pioneer activity, Mr. Satish Ragarajan and Mr. Dharmendra Singh, Asia Pacific Regional Product Managers, Nokia Siemens Networks conducted a two-day training workshop on IMS Application Development on Oct 18 and 19 for the students and faculty’s of the Institute in Pune.NSN Regional Product Team expressed that Nokia Siemens Networks is consolidating its leading position in the network telecoms market by putting innovation at the top of its business agenda. IMS application development is certainly one of the driving forces in this direction.Chief Mentor of IsquareIT, Dr. Vijay Bhatkar told that innovation and leadership is the mantra for our Institute. Our relationship with Nokia Siemens Networks will stimulate the students and faculty members to work for the IMS based Next Generation Networks applications. There is great potential in IMS technology for NGNs.Mrs Aruna Katara, Managing Trustee – ISquareIT has signed a MoU from the Institute side and she assured that the Institute would provide all necessary facilities for nurturing the relationship for the benefit of the both the organizations and the society.Dr. Bharat S. Chaudhari Dean – Academics and, Head of Networking and Telecom Dept of IsquareIT told that there is already stiff competition in service providers for voice services and their average revenue per user (ARPU) is declining.
