IBM works on new mobile services

With more and more people switching to mobile phones rathar than PCs to access web, cell phones are defenitly heading to replace PCs over the coming years. The move is having big effect among the cell phone makers coming up with wireless handsets with enhanced features. IBM too is working out on mobile programs that would offer services to people to access web, even allow financial transactions, and many other improved mobile web services.
IBMs research projects include allowing commerce to be conducted by voice, instant mobile translator that allows users to communicate between multiple languages, social networking via mobile etc. --MP
